Basic Features Of Mechanical Filtration Purifiers

A mechanical filtration purifier is a device that uses the principle of physical filtration to remove impurities from water or air. Its basic features vary depending on the application scenario (water treatment or air purification).

Mechanical Filters for Water Treatment (Pressure Filters): This is a common pretreatment device for water treatment. Its main features include:

Working Principle: Under a certain pressure, the raw water passes through a tank filled with specific filter media. The filter media physically intercepts and adsorbs impurities such as suspended solids, colloidal particles, organic substances, and microorganisms in the water, thereby reducing water turbidity.

Core Structure: Primarily consists of a tank (made of carbon steel, stainless steel, or fiberglass), water distribution components, water collection devices, support layers, and multiple layers of filter media. The filter media are usually layered according to density and particle size; for example, the upper layer is anthracite, the middle layer is quartz sand, and the lower layer is gravel, achieving deep filtration.
